Today, (I was/we were) invited to a book launch party (which) gathers Great Britain’s prominent figures.
The glamorous party, is being held in a strange mansion referred to as “Ijinkan.”Western style residences built mostly for early
foreign settlers during the end of the Shogunate
and the Meiji era.
The party’s invited guests, men and women of all ages being mixed, there seems to be no common feature, but…
Whether for this mansion, or for the party, it seems like extreme (amounts of) money have been spent.
In the party, some large-scale event has been prepared, I heard.
